Warm tip

Learning function only work for some models. If there is not “Learn” key on the remote control or the indicator light has no reponse after entering code “9980”, then this remote control is without learning function.

The E885 can ONLY learn from IR original remote which is working well, please confirm that your original remote is an IR remote control and it is working well before place an order.

HOW TO SET LEARN FUNCTION

1. Press the category key of the equipment you want to learn, and the indicator light will twinkle once.

2. Press on the “SETUP”(SET) key until the indicator light lights and keeps shining.

3.Press the “LEARN” key, and the indicator light will twinkle once (or input the code 9980)

4. Press the keys of this remote control you want to learn (except the device category key, SETUP, LEARN), such as power key, and the indicator light will twinkle once.

5. Lie flat the original remote control and this remote control, and keep the distance between them being 2-5cm; press the corresponding key of the original remote control, such a the power supply key, and the indicator light will keep on shining after quenching for 1-3sec. If your learning is not successful, then the indicator light will twinkle for three sec and keeps shining, and you may continue to learning other keys.

6. Repeat the step 5 to learn other keys, and when finish learning, press “SETUP” key to exit the learning mode.

A. MANUALLY INPUT THE CORRESPONDING CODE

1. Turn on the household appliances you want to control (such as TV, STB, DVD).

2. Look up the code list for the code corresponding to the brand of the household appliances you want to control. For example, if the brand of your household appliances is “AKAI”, then the first code will be 5012.

3. Press the device category key (such as “TV” key), and the indicator light will twinkle once.

4. Press on the “SETUP”(SET) key until the indicator light lights and keeps shining; input successively the four-digit number, the indicator light will twinkle once. When you finish your inputting, the indicator light will quench.

5. Check whether each function key of the remote control operates normally, if it does, it represents that the corresponding seeting is successful; if some of the function keys don’t operate normally, please repeat procedure 4 and input other code of the corresponding brand.

B. MANUALLY SEARCH FOR THE CORRESPONDING CODE

1. Turn on the household appliances you want to control (such as TV, STB, DVD)

2. Press the device category key (such as TV, SAT, DVD), and indicator light will twinkle once.

3. Press on the “SETUP” (SET) key until the indicator light lights and keeps shining.

4. Point the remote control towards the infrared recepyion window of the equipment you’re going to control, and press on “CH+”(P+) key at certain intervals (with the interval being less than 1.5s, or the remote control will enter into the automaic searching mode) until the channel of the equipment changes, then you should loose the “CH+”(P+) key at once, and then press “OK” key to exit the searching mode.

Attention:

If the equipment doesn’t have “CH+”(P+) function, you may use the “PLAY” key or the “POWER” key instead, and when the equipment’s status begin to change, press “OK” key to exit.

5. Check whether every function keys of the remote control work normally, if it does, the setting is successful; if not, please repeat procedure 3-4.

C. FULL-AUTOMATIC SEARCHING FOR CODE

1. Turn on the household appliances you want to control (such as TV, STB, DVD)

2. Press the device category key (such as TV, SAT,DVD), and the indicator light will twinkle once.

3. Press on the “SETUP”(SET) key until the indicator light lights and keeps shining.

4. Point the remote control towards the infrared reception window of the equipment you’re going to control, press “Channel+”(CH+/P+), enter the status for automatic search as the indicator flashes rapidly, the remote transmits a set of codes every second. When the device responds, press “OK” key quickly and exit search status.

Attention:

If the equipment doesn’t have “CH+”(P+) function, you may use the “PLAY” key or the “POWER” key instead, and when the equipment’s status begin to change, press “OK” key to exit.

5.Check whether every function keys of the remote control work normally, if it does, the setting is successful; if not, please repeat procedure 3-4.

SEARCHING FOR THE CURRENT CODE

After the manual searching or the automatic searching is successful, if you want to know the code that controls your household appliances, please operate according to the following procedures:

1. Press the category key of the equipment you want to inquire (such as TV, SAT, DVD), and the indicator light will twinkle once.

2. Press on the “SETUP”(SET) key until the indicator light lights and keeps shining. Then press the “SETUP”(SET) key once again, and after twinkling once, the indicator light will keeps shining. Press number 0-9 successively until the indicator light twinkles, and the current number is just the first-digit number of the code. Repeat procedure 4, find out the 2nd-digital, 3rd-digital and 4th-digital number successively, and when you find out the 4th-digital number, the indicator light will quench.

By setting this function, you may, even is then the current controlled equipment is not TV, still be able to control TV equipment under the volume of TV control mode.

1. Press on the “SETUP”(SET) key until the indicator light lights and keeps shining.

2. Press the “V+”(VOL+) key, and the indicator light lights and keep shining.

3. Press the key representing certain device (eg. TV, SAT, DVD,ect) to get through, the indicator flashed and goes out, and the setting is finished.

CANCEL VOLUME CONTROL PENETRATING FUNCTION

1. Press the corressponding device category key (such as TV, SAT, DVD), and the indicator light will twinkle once.

2. Press on the “SETUP”(SET) key until the indicator light lights and keeps shining.

3. Press the “V-“(VOL-) key, and the indicator light will quench after twinkling twice, the volume control penetrating function being cancelled.

DELETE ALL THE LEARNED KEYS OF CERTAIN EQUIPMENT

1. Press the device category key you want to delete (such as TV, SAT, DVD), and the indicator light will twinkle once.

2. Press on the “SETUP”(SET) key until the indicator light lights and keeps shining.

3. Press the “LEARN” key twice, the indicator flashes once (or enter code “9981”)

4. Press the number “0” key. The learning objects of all equipments will be deleted.

DELETE THE LEARNING OBJECTS OF ALL EQUIPMENTS

1. Press on the “SETUP”(SET) key until the indicator light lights and keeps shining.

2. Press the “LEARN” key twice, the indicator flashes once (or enter code “9981”).

3. Press the number “0” key. The learning objects of all equipments will be deleted.

HOW TO USE COMBINED EQUIPMENTS

This is related with the equipments brands and the combined equipments (TV/VCR, DVD/VCR etc) types, for some of them, it will be ok to input one code, while for others, it requires to input two codes respectively for two different equipment keys; refer to the code list for detail.

1. Manually turn on the combined equipments you want to control.

2. Find out the code that may control the equipment in the code inputting way, manual searching way or automatic searching way according to the above hint.

3. If you can’t control the other equipment, the repeat procedure 2.
